Titan Poker: Titan Poker

Titan Poker is part of the ipoker network and recently merged with a smaller network to give it an awesome user base.

This is without a doubt my favourite poker room. The gameplay is as you would expect from the ipoker network and having played extensively on Bluesquare poker I can vouch for how good that is.

What sets titan poker apart is it's customer attention and that is where this poker room scores heavily above all of the others that I have reviewed so far.

For sixhanded play you have a fantastic choice of tables and they literally fill up within seconds so there is no waiting around for a game to start. The software is colourful and the graphics are superb which makes this a great poker room to play at and build a bankroll.

I've covered the basics of the ipoker network in my Bluesquare poker review so no need to go through it all again here, suffice to say the gameplay is equally as good.

A big thumbs up.

Pacific Poker: Pacific Poker

The software at pacific poker is really nice to use and it gives you a choice between the full "avatar" view and the "uncluttered" view. I found the Avatar view to be a little bit fussy but preferable to the bare bones view.

The SNg tables fill up very slowly and the game options are not that advanced either. In the evenings UK time then the tables fill up much more quickly and you don't have so long to wait.

One good point for the beginner at the six handed SNG is that they have a three player prize pool option which means that you get less for winning but if you place consistently then you can build a bankroll here albeit more slowly.

I didn't like this format as it suits players who are more prepared to float into the money - which is fine, but leads to monotonous play.

So i decided to try the limit tables and had a major shock! I couldn't believe how fishy these players were. See the screenshots for how quickly I turned $100 into $400 over a four hour period. The six handed limit game at both 1/2 and 2/4 is a very easy game to beat if you raise it up and relentlessly bet with most opponents giving it up by the river.

For limit players who want to learn to play the six handed limit game this is your site! But the SNG action was disappointing.

Blue Square Poker: Blue Square Poker

Blue Square poker is surprisingly one of the older established gambling websites, never having a high profile in the past.

This is my favourite bankroll building site because of the fantastic gameplay for the sit and go specialist.

For six handed play there is a never ending stream of fish that come from the cash games and these are really very weak players. They are exactly the player you want to come to the six handed SNG.

What I love about this room is the fantastic graphics and the handy toolbar which lets you bet say half the pot, pot, or make a 3xraise or 4xraise with just one click. On partypoker you have to type the amount in unless you use the dodgy slider!

The fish here are absolutely what you want. They continue bet consistently and always move in with nothing! If you hit top pair top kicker you are usually good for a double up.

In addition once you've built a bankroll here there is a really good range of full blown tournament play however because of the fish I'd steer clear of the rebuy tourneys because you get so much action early on. The freezeouts are always really good value for money.

I definitely recommend playing here. My favourite site.

Party Poker: Party Poker Six Handed SNG Review

Party Poker was one of the first poker rooms established and it has a good history of providing good games to play at.

The six handed game fills up quite quickly and when I played this morning for this review I was quite surprised that the table filled up within about 90 seconds. So you shouldn't have a problem finding a game at later hours in the day.

Software:
The software doesn't appear to have been updated at all for a long time and you still have the same choice of avatars as years ago. However the lobby layout is very good and there are good filters so that you can easily find the game you want to play.

The actual gameplay is very good and sounds and other options are all of a high standard. If you look around the web you can even find some mpg files to replace the default sound files.

This is great for replacing the standard cheering when you win a pot with something more rewarding like shouting "I owned your ass" instead. Small minds eh?

The actual SNG is where Party Poker wins most review points here. It gives you a full 2000 chips to start your SNG with and very comfortable 10 minute blind level escalation so you have lots and lots of gameplay here.

If you follow the sixhanded strategy on Party Poker you should easily place at over 60% ITM and I wouldn't be surprised if some people made it higher because there is so much gameplay available here.

Where it loses points is in not providing some options for making a standard 3x or4x raise or being able to bet the pot for example which is a shame because if they updated this it would make the game much more enjoyable to play.

Despite not being updated for a while this is still the best six handed game for beginners to beat. There are plenty of fish who come from the cash games and the starting chips and blind levels give you plenty of time to make your more poker skills pay.

This is the best game for building a bankroll.
