Party Poker is a great poker room with nice software and design.

Because it is such a highly trafficked poker room you only have a few minutes wait for a six handed table to fill even at the quietest hours of the day.

Party Poker was one of the first poker rooms established and it has a good history of providing good games to play at.

The six handed game fills up quite quickly and when I played this morning for this review I was quite surprised that the table filled up within about 90 seconds. So you shouldn't have a problem finding a game at later hours in the day.

Software:
The software doesn't appear to have been updated at all for a long time and you still have the same choice of avatars as years ago. However the lobby layout is very good and there are good filters so that you can easily find the game you want to play.

The actual gameplay is very good and sounds and other options are all of a high standard. If you look around the web you can even find some mpg files to replace the default sound files.

This is great for replacing the standard cheering when you win a pot with something more rewarding like shouting "I owned your ass" instead. Small minds eh?

The actual SNG is where Party Poker wins most review points here. It gives you a full 2000 chips to start your SNG with and very comfortable 10 minute blind level escalation so you have lots and lots of gameplay here.

If you follow the sixhanded strategy on Party Poker you should easily place at over 60% ITM and I wouldn't be surprised if some people made it higher because there is so much gameplay available here.

Where it loses points is in not providing some options for making a standard 3x or4x raise or being able to bet the pot for example which is a shame because if they updated this it would make the game much more enjoyable to play.

Despite not being updated for a while this is still the best six handed game for beginners to beat. There are plenty of fish who come from the cash games and the starting chips and blind levels give you plenty of time to make your more poker skills pay.

This is the best game for building a bankroll.
